Whitening products (over the counter and stuff the dentist gives you) do usually contain some sort of peroxide. However, the hydrogen peroxide wont do much for your teeth. Rinsing with half water half peroxide IS good for your gums though! :D

Never try it but Hydrogen Peroxide is indeed an active bleaching agent used by Crest Whitestrips.

I suggest you to try Crest Whitestrips instead of hydrogen peroxide. It is safer for your teeth as too many hydrogen peroxide will cause sensitivity.
