To term? I had an abortion a few years ago and went back for the two week check up and everything was fine. Years later, I am happily married and recently found out I was pregnant! I am very excited! The only thing I wonder now is if I need to bring up (the past abortion) with my doctor? The topic never came up with my husband and I and I would prefer to keep it that way as it is a very sensitive topic for me. I don't know how he'd feel if he found out from the doctor? Does anyone know anything about this?

Yes your doctor needs to know. You can choose whether or not to tell your husband (the doctor wont), but you must tell your doc because an abortion in the medical community is looked at as a D&C, and that can actually cause trouble this time around. D&C has been linked to problems such as incompetent cervix, and your doc needs to be well informed of your past to know what to look for. Good luck!
by law your dr has to keep your medical record confidential, even from your husband. You need to tall your dr about the abortion. Chances are it will have no effect on the outcome of this pregnancy, but it;s better to be safe.

it would probably be good to tell your doctor that you have had an abortion.
If you don't want your husband to know then just tell your doctor when your husband doesn't attend a appointment. Then ask him to keep it private
