Poor diet and stress can cause excessive hair loss. A good, healthy diet and minimum stress can help prevent hair loss. Also, a lot of cheaper products on the market aren't good for your hair. Salon professional products actually do make a difference, but if you don't want to buy them all the time just use them every now and again. Other factors causing hair loss are hair treatments, dyes, products such as hair sprays and continuously using heat appliances e.g. straighteners, hair dryers etc. This leads to breakage of the hair and can result in loss.
