First off, follow the program and the nutrition guide if you want the optimal results. The nutrition guide is easy and well laid out I don't know why someone would say otherwise. You need to eat and eat the proper food to achieve results. A poor or improper diet will leave your energy reserves flat after about week 3.
You actually get two days to recover, Sunday is an OFF day no work out at all and Thursday is Cardio Recovery...about 35minutes of stretching and such.
We have actually started P90X as well and let me tell you the two together are Banana'a Yo! (you'll know where that came from if you are doing Insanity LOL)
