It sounds to be like your baby has dropped, which is normal at 34 weeks :) When my baby dropped it felt like I constantly had a bowling ball in between my legs. But you should call your doctor just to be sure. The only difference I noticed in determining the difference between a BHC and a real contraction is that the real ones HURT.

It sort of sounds like labor contractions, but I am not sure. BHC are usually painless- they feel like a tightening of your muscles and they go away if you change positions, or drink water... real contractions don't go away no matter what you do and are usually more regular than BHC which come and go. They also hurt. Have you called your doc? If not, then I would just in case.
